Benefits of Acuvue Oasys Multifocal
More about Acuvue Oasys Multifocal
  • Two weekly multifocal lenses for presbyopia
  • Can be worn as extended wear lenses for up to 7 days/6 nights
  • Ideal for dry eyes
  • Designed for exceptional visual performance
  • Pupil Optimised Design - accounts for the natural pupil variation that occurs

Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contact lenses feature a Pupil Optimised Design which accounts for the natural pupil variation that occurs across refractive error range. Not only are these multifocal contact lenses great for those who are presbyopic, they also cater for those with presbyopia who are also nearsighted (myopic) or farsighted (hyperopic).

As silicone hydrogel contact lenses, Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contact lenses allow up to six times the amount of oxygen to reach the eye than hydrogel lenses making them an excellent choice for those more prone to dry eyes. Their silicone hydrogel design also makes them suitable as extended wear contact lenses, meaning that they can be slept in overnight for up to six nights (if approved by your optician).

Solution recommendations.
How many hours can I wear Acuvue Oasys Multifocal?

Bausch & Lomb Biotrue Multi-Purpose or All in One Light by Coopervision.

The recommended time is based on the individualities of your eyes. Generally speaking, they're designed to be comfortable for up to 14 continuous hours. After this time, please use your cleaning solution to disinfect them for the next day.

How to insert your contact lense

FIRSTLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY

Wash your hands with an anti-bacterial soap, rinse and dry your hands with a lint free towel.

CHECK THAT THE LENS IS THE CORRECT WAY ROUND

To do this, put the lens on the lens on the tip of your finger and hold it up to light. If the edges flare out, its inside out. If you’re wearing Acuvue lenses they have a 1-2-3 indicator. make sure the digits aren’t backwards.

USING YOUR RIGHT HAND

Gently hold your upper eyelid with one finger so you don’t blink or get your eyelashes in the way, carefully pull down your lower eyelid with your other fingers.

MOVE THE CONTACT LENS

Slowly towards your eye. Look upward as you place it on your eye, and slowly release your eyelid and close your eye for a momnet to allow the lens to settle. Repeat for your other eye.

How to remove your contact lense

FIRSTLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY

Wash your hands with an anti-bacterial soap. Then look up and carefully pull down your lower eyelid with your middle finger.

BRING YOUR INDEX FINGER TO YOUR EYE

Slowly until you touch the lower edge of the lens, and slide the lens down tot he lower white part of the eye.

GENTLY SQUEEZE THE LENS

Between the thumb and index finger and remove it. Repeat this for your left eye.

DISCARD DAILY DISPOSABLE CONTACT LENSES

If you wear dailies you can throw them away. If you are wearing reuseable lenses disinfect them for a minimum of 6 hours.
